What exactly is Hidden City Hunt?
It's a spy-themed treasure hunt your family plays on foot around a real city. Your kids become secret agents, following a digital mission file that guides them to genuinely hidden, unusual locations — places most tourists and even most locals walk straight past. At each stop they crack a coded puzzle to unlock the next location.
How do we play?
After you buy, a single mission file lands in your email. Open it on a phone or tablet, head to the city, and let your kids lead. They read each briefing, navigate to the location, find the answer hidden at the site, and enter the coded password to unlock the next stage. Ten locations, ten puzzles, one unforgettable day.
Do I need to print anything?
No. Everything runs on your phone or tablet — no printing, no kit, nothing to carry. Just charge your device the night before.
What ages is it for?
Built for ages 8 to 88. The puzzles are pitched so that children aged 8–16 can lead, while adults enjoy following along and helping with the trickier clues. It genuinely works for the whole family — grandparents included.

How much does it cost?
Each city is €12.99 for a single-device licence. Or you can get the same city on three devices for €24.99 — that's 3 for the price of 2, ideal for splitting a bigger family into teams.
What does the 3-device licence include?
It's the same city operation, licensed to run on three devices at once. Perfect if you want to split into teams or simply avoid everyone crowding around one phone. It is not three different cities — it's one city on three devices.
Is it a one-off payment or a subscription?
A one-off payment. You buy a city, it's yours. No subscription, no recurring charges, no account required.
Can I buy more than one city?
Absolutely. Each city is a separate operation with its own locations and puzzles. Buy as many as you like — each is delivered as its own mission file.
Devices & Technical
Does it need an internet connection?
Only to download the file once (do this on wi-fi before you set off). After that it works completely offline — no signal, no data, no roaming charges needed while you're out hunting.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern phone, tablet, or laptop with a web browser — iPhone, Android, iPad, the lot. There's no app to install; the mission file opens directly in your browser.
How do I get the file onto three devices?
Your LemonSqueezy licence lets you download the file to the number of devices your licence covers — one device for the single licence, three for the 3-device licence. Just open your download link on each device while on wi-fi.
Do I need to create an account or install an app?
No account, no app. The mission file is self-contained and opens in any browser. Buy, download, play.
The Experience
How long does a hunt take?
Anywhere from half a day to a full day, depending on your pace, how long you linger at each spot, and how many snack stops you make. There's no timer — go as fast or as slow as you like.
Do we have to find all the locations?
Not at all — you set the pace. Find as many as you like, then tap "Call HQ" to finish whenever you're ready. The rewards scale with how much you uncover: 3 locations earns a Spy badge, 6 a Super Spy badge, and completing the whole city (usually 10 locations) the top Mega Spy badge plus a personalised certificate with your agent's name on it. Every agent comes home a winner — even on a shorter outing.
Are the locations really secret?
Yes — that's the whole point. Every location is a genuinely hidden or overlooked place with a real story: a church concealed in an attic, the narrowest house in Europe, a courtyard most visitors never find. We deliberately avoid the obvious tourist landmarks.
What happens when we finish?
Finishing triggers a celebration — confetti, a "mission complete" screen, and a badge to match your haul: a Spy badge for 3 locations, Super Spy for 6, or the top Mega Spy badge for completing the whole city. Crack the entire operation and you also unlock a personalised spy certificate with your agent's name on it. Either way, you get a photo scrapbook of your mission to download and keep — or turn into a photobook keepsake. Every badge and certificate saves straight to the phone.
What if my kids get stuck?
Each stage has built-in agent hints from the team — Ember, Ginger, Uncle and Tracker — who nudge players in the right direction without giving the answer away. No one gets stranded.

My city isn't listed — can I request it?
Yes! Use the search box on the home page. If we don't have your city yet, you can leave your email and we'll let you know if it launches. We use the most-requested cities to decide what to build next.
Can I get a refund?
Because the product is a digital file delivered instantly, please contact us before purchase if you have any questions. If something goes wrong with your download, email us and we'll make it right.
